Beginner Strength Plan With No Gym

Strength training helps build muscle, protect your joints, and boost metabolism — and the best part is, you don’t need a gym membership to start. With just your bodyweight, you can lay a solid foundation.

3 Basic Moves

  • Squats: 3 sets of 8–12 (targets legs and glutes)
  • Push-ups: 3 sets of 6–10 (do them on your knees if needed)
  • Glute bridges: 3 sets of 10–15 (great for lower back and hips)

Do this plan 2–3 times per week with a rest day in between. As you get stronger, add more reps or try harder variations like incline push-ups or single-leg squats. Consistency matters more than intensity at the beginning — stick with it and progress will come quickly.
